GP2 Track Submission

If you have developed a track that is not included in my ratings or is an update of a track I have rated, then feel free to email it to me. If it is already on a website then only email me the address at where I can obtain the track and I will download it for myself if I have not already done so. All tracks are to be submitted in ZIP format. It would be helpful if you could include in your email message wether your track is a new track or an update. It is also recommended that a GP2FORM.TXT file is included in your ZIP file.

It is helpful if information can be included in your GP2FORM.TXT regarding the version number, the release date, installation procedures including which directory any JAM files are to go in, the track used as a base for your work, the number of laps in a full race, the distance of each lap, the tyre wear for the track, preferred slot for the track, a list of slots that may cause problems, wether the track is a real life circuit or a fictitious circuit (If the track is a real life circuit you should also include the year upon which your track is based) and any known bugs.

It is recommended that you include JAM files already converted and not simply place the BMP files in your ZIP for conversion. It is also recommended that JAM files should be placed in a new subdirectory of the GAMEJAMS directory. Under no circumstances should a JAM file replace an original JAM file.

Please also ensure that filenames do not have more than one period (.) in the name, as GP2 is a DOS game and therefore some users do not have extended filename support. (I have already corrected a few zip files that have used more than one period in their data file by using a hex editor on the ZIP file) It is alright to have a filename with more than 8 characters before the period so long as you do not have two files that have their first 8 characters in common.
